Agent Confirms – Arsenal Battle With Roma For 6ft6 Striker

Roma attacker Umar Sadiq has attracted interest from the Gunners, according to the player’s agent who confirmed the same.

“Yes, there is interest from Arsenal but at this moment nothing is done.”-Mohammed Lowal “Contact was made with Roma so we will see where it takes us in the next few days/weeks.”

The 19 year old has played six Serie A games this season, and has scored against Genoa and Chievo. The player’s agent confirmed the interest from Arsenal however there is no further development in the same.

The striker is currently on a loan deal in the Italian capital and further his contract with Roma includes a clause that allows the club to purchase him on a permanent deal. Sadiq’s parent club is Serie B side Spezia, where he has not made a senior appearance till date.

Arsenal are looking for an attacking option as their current attacking options at the centre forward includes Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck while Theo Walcott rarely impressed in the position.

Although 6ft6 Sadiq has not used his height much, however he is impressive with the ball. As such there has been only interest from the Gunner’s side and Roma themselves on a permanent basis hence it will be interesting to see where the player lands at the start of next season.
