Klopp wants him
Most people who follow the German tactician closely will know that he only spends on players who can fit well into his system and Klopp seems to think Asensio is one such player. He rarely spends big on players but it looks like Klopp is ready to break Liverpool’s transfer record for Asensio and this means that he will have a first team role to play at Anfield if he makes the switch. Lack of depth in the squad
The Reds have a decent attacking lineup but they lack genuine wingers in their squad and Asensio would solve this problem.
