Robben Will Miss Champions League Clash Against BATE Borisov

Bayern Munich face BATE Borisov in a group F Champions league match on Tuesday and will travel to Belarus without winger Arjen Robben, who is recovering from a minor muscle problem. The Bavarians who have started the season in an impressive manner are looking to extend their run in the Champions league also and the loss of Robben due to injury will come as a disappointment to manager Jupp Heynckes.

The Dutch international did not play in Bayern’s 2-0 league win over Werder Bremen on Saturday but his absence was not felt as the Bavarians cruised to their sixth win in six league games.

Speaking ahead of the game, Bayern’s captain Lahm told the reporters  “We want to have a perfect start in the Champions League as well,” said the captain at the airport before leaving to Belarus.
