Manchester City Ladies Will Have Access To Academy Coaches And Marketing

Manchester City ladies to get access to academy coaches

Manchester City FC  have given a boost to its ladies team with the news that the ladies will have full access to club’s academy coaches as well as marketing and commercial opportunities.

The Manchester ladies will be the second club to share the facilities with their male counterparts behind Arsenal ladies, who are extremely successful over the past few years. Having been promoted to the second tier of English football last season, the ladies are looking forward to playing in the new league and are extremely confident about their success. Following the decision to give full facilities to the ladies, Manchester City’s Head of Strategy person, Don Dransfield said:

“The women’s game is continuing to grow at a pace with 28 million girls and women playing football worldwide, making it the most popular female participating team sport. We are pleased to be able to give our support to MCLFC as they look to build on their hard work and commitment of the past few years.”

Having access to Manchester City’s coaching staff is a big move forward for the ladies as it will have an effect on the quality of their game, while marketing and commercial opportunities will help promote the ladies to have new fans to the club. It is a small step forward for the ladies but with an enormous insight to it. Manchester city ladies have never played in the top tier English league and the club will be hoping to do so in the near future as, there are rumors that Women’s premier league will end up as a 2 tier competition and if that is the case then the first job of the ladies will be to stay in the league.

However, the partnership with Manchester City will not only be a benefit financially but also mainly in the facilities, publicity and the expertise they will gain.
