Why This £45million Rated Winger Would Turn Liverpool’s Attack Deadly Next Season – Go For It Klopp

Liverpool’s search for a top quality winger continues and there are reports doing the rounds that the Premier League club have put in a big bid of £45m for Porto’s Yacine Brahimi. The 26-year-old Algerian has been one of the brightest stars in the team for a few years and he has been linked with a move away from the Portuguese leagues for a number of years.

Brahimi joined Porto after spending a couple of seasons at Granada, and has not looked back since. The Algerian has constantly scored for the side, even though he is a winger, he has racked up 21 goals in his two seasons at the club.

Liverpool don’t really have many true wingers in their team. The one player that actually fits that description is Lazar Markovic and even he had been shipped off to Turkey, hopefully he will have a future at the club but just one winger won’t cut it for the Premier League side and Brahimi could be the answer to Liverpool’s creative problems.

Brahimi can even play as a striker or a central attacker, but the Reds have more than their fair share of CAMs with the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Adam Lallana, what they need is someone who is willing to run at defenders and cross the ball into dangerous places.

Lazar Markovic was known for his direct running, but there never really was any final product for the team and that was his problem in his first season for the Reds. Liverpool though could have found the perfect player in Brahimi, he is known for his ball control and passing and is strong enough to hold the ball and start attacks.

His direct running would be a great threat for Liverpool but Brahimi isn’t the most consistent player out there and that could be a major issue for the Reds. The Algerian though would cost Liverpool a huge sum of money, with some reports saying that the Reds will have to bid close to £45 million, which would be a ludicrous amount for a player not having done all that well in a top league.

There is one silver lining in the club for the Reds and the fact is that most Porto players do end up doing extremely well after being sold. Brahimi is a bit of a mystery player and that could be one reason why Liverpool should sign him up, also the fact that Jurgen Klopp has a great history with signings, but a big money player isn’t something the German is known for and it will be interesting to see how this pans out in the summer.
