Hakim Ziyech is one the most exciting stars in Europe at present and his agent feels Liverpool would suit the player.
He was with Morocco at the World Cup in the summer and returned to Ajax in fantastic form. The playmaker is continuing to establish himself as arguably the most gifted player in Dutch football, and inspired Ajax to a 5-0 thrashing of AZ Alkmaar last weekend.
With four goals and three assists to his name in the Eredivisie so far this season, Ziyech has attracted massive interest from some of Europe’s elite clubs. But should Liverpool make a move for the Moroccan in January?
Liverpool have had a blistering start to the new season and remain unbeaten in the Premier League. The Reds are playing an amazing brand of football at the moment as Jurgen Klopp eyes an assault on the Premier League title.
However, Klopp cannot rest on his laurels following a high-spending summer transfer window and a promising start to the season. The German should also assess potential January recruits who could give his side a welcome boost. He should look at Ajax star Hakim Ziyech, who netted nine goals and registered an incredible 17 assists in all competitions last season.
Ziyech is a central midfielder by trade but due to his versatility, he can play on the left, the right, and in a No.10 role. However, the No.10 role suits Ziyech better as it allows him to bring his creativity out.
The Moroccan is a talented player with a fantastic engine, exquisite technique and passing ability. He can pick out a pass, can bamboozle defenders with his dribbling skills and is capable of scoring goals as well.
Ziyech is a tricky midfielder for the defenders to deal with and often uses a combination of pace and skill to create space for himself. Not to forget, he is also a dead-ball specialist.
Truth to be told, Ziyech could be the perfect No.10 that Liverpool have been lacking since selling Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona in January.
As the 25-year-old signed a new improved contract with Ajax back in September, Liverpool may have to break their bank to get him. The Reds would get a gem of a player if they manage to sign him.
