The Premier League is home to some of the brightest talent in the world, Southampton can stake claim to that role thanks to their incredible youth system which has seen the likes of Luke Shaw, Theo Walcott and Gareth Bale over the years. Everyone remembers that Manchester United class on 92 which saw them produce some of the greatest footballers to ever grace the English game.

There are many young players budding in the Premier League ranks at the current moment and we look at 3 young players who you need to keep an eye out for next season, who knows, you might be looking at the next Wayne Rooney or Steven Gerrard in the making.

3. Jordon Ibe

Jordon Iibe

Ibe was called back to the Liverpool squad midway through the season and while he did pick up an injury in between, he did play some great football down the right for Liverpool. Adept at attacking and defending, he has been called as the future Raheem Sterling and is in fact rated higher than Sterling was at the same stage of their careers. Fast, strong and a great dribbler of the ball, Ibe does have a big future at Liverpool and did sign a contract extension, unlike Sterling. Liverpool are going to need every bit of talent to fix their disaster of a season last time around and Ibe could play a pivotal role in that.

2. James Ward-Prowse

Southampton were expected to fail big time this season after the sale of so many of their top players but Ronald Koeman build a great squad which surprised everyone with their brand of football and one star of the season was Ward-Prowse. The English youngster has been brilliant in midfield for the Saints and will be looking forward to next season as the Saints try to capitalize on a great season this time around and next season could be huge for the midfielder.

1. Ruben Loftus-Cheek

You know you have made it big when Jose Mourinho wants you to play a few games and rates you highly. Loftus-Cheek even made the starting XI in the last games for Chelsea in the Premier League and the midfielder could play a few more games next season or the Champions. The central midfielder could be one of those players who catch your attention next season and certainly is one of those players who needs to be watched. It will be worth seeing if Jose will be playing him more next season, hopefully we will get to see more of him next season.
