3 Top-class Everton youngsters who could have a breakthrough season including 5-goal speed demon

After a tumultuous 2017/18 campaign, Everton will be hoping for a more stable and solid season next time around.

The Toffees, who have brought in young and dynamic manager Marco Silva after parting ways with former boss Sam Allardyce, will be hoping to break into the top six in the coming season.

During his managerial spells at Hull City and Watford previously, Silva showed that he is someone who will nurture young and talented players and will back them to come good for the first team. Harry Maguire prospered under him at Hull City, while Richarlison took the Premier League by storm under the 40-year-old at Watford last season.

Something similar will be expected at Everton, and here are three Toffees youngsters, who could enjoy a breakthrough campaign under the new manager.

Ademola Lookman

A lot has been expected from the England youth international ever since he moved to Everton from Charlton Athletic in January 2017.

Having endured a frustrating first half of the 2017/18 season, Lookman left Everton to join German outfit RB Leipzig on loan in January. He impressed one and all with a series of exciting displays in Germany as he netted 5 goals and provided 3 assists in his 11 appearances for Leipzig.

Blessed with blistering pace, the 20-year-old is a great asset going forward. Lookman, who has the ability to dribble past defenders at speed, has improved on his composure in front of goal.

Lookman is far from being a finished product yet. Still very much a raw talent, the youngster needs to be nurtured, and Silva has shown he could be the man to do so, considering how he got the best out of Richarlison last season.

Kieran Dowell

The Everton youngster scored the winning goal against Mexico in the 2018 Toulon Tournament final last weekend, firing the England Under-21s to their second triumph in a row in the competition.

A versatile player, who loves to play as an attacking midfielder, Dowell is equally comfortable in a more withdrawn position in the centre of the park. He possesses the sound technical abilities and the intelligence needed to excel in any position.

The 20-year-old midfielder has thus far made just three senior appearances for Everton. He was on loan at Nottingham Forest last season and managed to score 10 goals in 43 games to the Championship outfit.

Beni Baningime

The fans were treated to glimpses of young midfielder Baningime under both David Unsworth and Sam Allardyce last season.

The youngster made his full debut for the Merseysiders in a League Cup encounter against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in September, and he was arguably one of the best players on the pitch.

He followed it up with a string of good performances throughout the rest of the campaign, although most of those came from the bench. Under Silva though, Baningime has what it takes to take his game to the next level and become a mainstay for Everton.

The midfielder is tenacious, energetic, a good tackler and seems perfectly moulded to the style of play the Portuguese wants to bring in at Goodison Park.
