2. Jan Vertonghen:
The tall Belgian joined Tottenham Hotspur from Dutch giants Ajax in the summer of 2012 and made a real impact in his first season. It was finally worth believing that Vertonghen would be the mainstay for the Tottenham defence in years to come and would be the answer of all problems for the Spurs back line. However it is believed that the former Ajax dependable can leave White Hart Lane if Tottenham fail to muster up a Champions League berth, one which seems very unlikely at this point of time. The move would suit Liverpool given his imposing presence at the back and though Vertonghen makes the odd mistake, Rodgers can spice things up by putting a cheeky bid for the Belgian in the summer.
