Crystal Palace opinion: 3 replacements for Wilfried Zaha

According to a report from the Daily Star, Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha is set to return to his former club Manchester United in the summer.

The Ivory Coast international has had a brilliant season with the Eagles for whom he scored 10 goals and provided 10 more assists in the Premier League.

Zaha has built the reputation of a fantastic winger who can both score and create, thanks to his performances this season and this has linked him with a move to the Red Devils, with Arsenal also being interested.

Losing Zaha will be a huge blow for the Eagles but they will have to find a suitable replacement for him in the summer. Here are three possible options that they should consider before the start of next season:

Jarrod Bowen

The Hull City sensation has been immense for the Tigers this season and he would be a brilliant addition to Crystal Palace’s squad next season.

Bowen was an ever-present in Hull’s Championship squad this campaign and scored a staggering 21 goals in the season. He possesses a deadly left foot and combines that with his electric pace and astounding dribble skills to cause the opponents all sorts of problems in the final third.

Joe Lolley

Another star from the Championship, Lolly has been a star for Nottingham Forest this season. The 26-year-old netted 11 goals and provided 11 more assists in a hugely impressive campaign and he could be a very smart replacement for Zaha in the summer.

Lolley’s performances have caught the eye of Palace, who have been linked with a move for him along with Watford, and the Eagles will have to do well to brush off competition from the Hornets to get his signature in the summer.

Ollie Watkins

The 23-year-old has shown real promise for Brentford this season and he could be a really smart addition for Palace to replace Wilfried Zaha in the summer.

Watkins scored 10 goals and provided another 8 assists in the Championship and under Roy Hodgson, he can improve and better that record in the Premier League next season.

Watkins has a bright future ahead of him and he could very well have the same kind of impact that Zaha had since his move from Manchester United back in 2015.
