3 Reasons Why Liverpool Can Make It To The Top Four Next Season And Stay There!

Share

Liverpool played with a youthful side and defeated Watford but more important for the side is the upcoming Europa League final against Sevilla on 18 May. Jurgen Klopp has taken to two finals in the space of a few months.

The Reds might not have started as the favourites to win any competition at the start of the season but the German has changed the belief of the fans at the club and Liverpool could well be playing in the Champions League next season if they defeat Sevilla in a few days’ time.

The bigger job on hand for the German would be to achieve regular Champions League football and that would mean at least finishing in the top four season after season. The Reds did have a few good games this season but they have been highly inconsistent, like the matches against Newcastle, Sunderland, Swansea in recent times.

Liverpool have dropped 19 points from winning positions this season and that will be something that Klopp would want to fix next season but it does look good for the Merseyside club as they prepare for the 2016-17 season. Liverpool need to be in the top four and battling for the Premier League title and here are three seasons why the Reds will make it into the top four next season.

Jurgen Klopp

Obviously the German has to be one reason why the Reds can make the top four. Klopp is passionate, he pulls no punches and says what he wants. If there is any reason why the Reds have actually been half decent in the second half of the campaign has to be due to what the German has brought into the club.

Liverpool feels like the Liverpool of old, they have the fans behind them and more often than not, they have put in some great performances. Klopp is learning more about the club as the days go by and his leadership will be key to the Merseyside club making it into the top four next season.

Investing in new players

While we have spoken about players such as James Milner and Roberto Firmino picking up the slack and putting in some great performances, even Dejan Lovren now looks like a world beater, Liverpool will be looking to bring in some fresh faces.

Klopp does have a record of bringing in some great talent for peanuts and that is something he would have to do at Liverpool. Use his extensive scouting team and bring in some fantastic deals for the Reds. Simon Mignolet, Martin Skrtel and even Christian Benteke could be leaving the club and hopefully Liverpool could get stars such as Marco Reus into the side.

The playing style

When Jurgen Klopp came in, he spoke about the club playing his style of football. We all know what it is about and there have been a few games where Liverpool have battered the opposition with their high intensity pressing game. The Reds though need to continue this next season when they get new reinforcements.

Liverpool have a pretty decent base and a majority of the players would have picked up the gegenpressing style that Klopp has employed at the club. Hopefully, the Reds will easily make it into the top four and bring some more glory days to the Anfield faithful.
