Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool will not be too displeased with their situation in the domestic competitions this season but the manager will hope that his side can find some consistency from now to the end of the season to try and push Chelsea to the title. The Reds have made some impressive signing recently in the transfer window and are also looking at plausible options with Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as one of their transfer targets. The Gabon international revealed recently that he could leave Borussia Dortmund this summer at the end of the season and though he ruled out a move to Anfield, he may well be lured out of Germany by Klopp in the summer. He is easily one of the best players in his position at the moment and here are three reasons why he could be a perfect signing of the Reds:
False-9 problem:
The Reds have not been able to field Divock Origi and Daniel Sturridge, two strikers in the squad, for crunch games. Neither of them are first choice for Klopp as Brazil midfielder Roberto Firmino has been effective as a false-9 this season. Firmino adds an extra number to the midfield and also helps his side’s front line to become all the more fluid, making Liverpool hard to stop. However, they have genuinely lacked a goalscorer in games against teams that sits up defensively and Aubameyang can be the man who can turn things around. His pace and finishing abilities will make Liverpool stronger against such sides and will surely get them closer to the title.
