3 Important signings that could fire Real Madrid to league title next season including €200m-rated Tottenham star

Share

Real Madrid have had a poor season by their standards and are currently third in the La Liga table, 15 points behind champions Barcelona. However, Real have a chance to claim the runners-up position should they win their next game against Villarreal and their cross-town rivals Atletico Madrid lose to Eibar.

Although the Los Blancos have struggled domestically, they have advanced to the Champions League final where they face Liverpool. The possibility of retaining the Champions League trophy for the third successive year is definitely on the cards.

Failing to challenge for the La Liga this season, Florentino Perez and Zinedine Zidane need to make some important signings in the summer to challenge Barcelona next season.

That being said, here are top three transfers Real Madrid should look to complete in the summer.

Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur)

Harry Kane is reportedly on the radar of Real Madrid since last season. Once dubbed to be a one-season wonder, the €200m-rated Kane has once again delivered the goods, scoring 30 goals in the league for Tottenham this season.

Harry Kane

The England international is the perfect striker to replace the misfiring Karim Benzema, who has endured an underwhelming campaign at Santiago Bernabeu. Benzema has been profligate for the last two seasons, lacking the cutting edge and pace with which he used to terrorise the defenders.

The Frenchman’s time is certainly over at the Bernabeu and it would be wise for Zidane to go all guns blazing out for Kane, whose link-up play is just as good as his finishing.

Adrien Rabiot (Paris Saint-Germain)

With Luka Modric’s powers in midfield diminishing, Real Madrid needs to be proactive in securing a midfielder who can replace the Croatian’s fantastic performance levels in the long-term.

Modric is still a key player at the Bernabeu but he will turn 33 in September. To replace the ageing Croat, Real must target Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

Rabiot joined PSG in 2010 and has been a key member for the French giants since then. The midfielder has been a vital cog in Unai Emery’s side this term as PSG have gone on to win the Ligue 1 title.

Adrien Rabiot

Blessed with great technique and exquisite passing abilities, Rabiot could be the man in the heart of Real’s midfield for the next decade. Apart from passing skills and ball retention abilities, the Frenchman also possesses great defensive skills.

Rabiot is one of the sought-after young midfielders and has all the tools to replace Modric at the Bernabeu.

Alisson Becker (AS Roma)

One of the most promising goalkeepers in Europe right now, Alisson Becker has turned the heads in Europe with his dazzling displays in goal for AS Roma. He is the undisputed No.1 at Rome and will be seen between the sticks for Brazil in the World Cup this summer.

With Keylor Navas’ reliability in question and Kiko Casilla not being inspirational, Real’s priority in the summer transfer window should be Alisson.

Alisson Becker

With fantastic shot-stopping abilities and reflexes, the Brazilian would be an instant upgrade on both Navas and Casilla.

Alisson appears to be happy at Roma but if Real comes knocking with an offer, it will be tough for the goalkeeper to reject a move to the Spanish giants.
