The January transfer window is on the verge of closing. Only two days are left for the clubs to part ways with some players and welcome some new faces. While the transfer window is the perfect time for the clubs to release some unwanted players and make necessary additions, it is equally important for the players as well to carefully make decisions of leaving or staying at a particular club.
We make a list of 3 players who should leave their present clubs in this winter transfer window for a better future.
1. Petr Cech
The ace goalkeeper has been in charge of protecting the Chelsea goal for almost a decade now. He has won several accolades with London club in these years. Even in the previous season he had won the Golden glove award keeping 16 clean sheets in the entire season. He was irreplaceable in the Chelsea outfit until this season. This summer Jose Mourinho decided to bring back Chelsea’s young Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois who had spent two seasons on loan with Atletico Madrid. With Thibaut Courtois’ arrival, it became obvious that the Czech maestro would be demoted from the starting lineup. Mourinho has preferred Coutois for almost every game in this season so far. Considering Cech’s age and form he can very well play top tier football for at least 3 years. For his own benefit, Petr Cech must leave Chelsea in the January transfer window and move to another club.
2.Mario Balotelli
Mario Balotelli was brought in by Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers this summer after the Reds manager sold Luis Suarez for a huge sum. Balotelli, who left England last summer for AC Milan, is struggling to settle at Anfield. Brendan Rodgers had a lot of expectation from the Italian striker and expected him to fill in the big shoes of Luis Suarez. But in reality, Balotelli has failed miserably so far and managed to score very few goals. To be honest, Mario Balotelli has failed to adjust with the club’s environment and for his better future; Mario Balotelli should leave for good in January.
3. Adnan Januzaj (Loan)
2013/2014 season was the worst season for Manchester United in the last twenty years. They finished 7th in the Premier league and did not qualify for Champions League. In a season where everything went wrong for the club, the only good aspect which they procured from the season was bringing in Adnan Januzaj from their youth setup. Januzaj was brilliant in his debut season for the club. Everyone was marveled with his performance and soon became the wonder boy of Manchester United. But, after Louis van Gaal came at the helm of affairs he brought in experienced players like Angel Di Maria Radamel Falcao in the team’s attack. As a result, the Belgian got very less game time. For a better future, Adnan Januzaj needs game time. At Old Trafford he won’t come into the first team, thus he should move out on loan for a short period in January.
