12 goals, 11 assists – West Ham can get the best out of Arnautovic by signing this MLS star

West Ham United should definitely make the move for Miguel Almiron

According to BBC, West Ham United are keen on making a move for Atlanta United midfielder Miguel Almiron. The Paraguayan has been in scintillating form for the MLS outfit this season and has attracted a couple of Premier League clubs’ interests over the last few days.

Despite the arrival of Manuel Pellegrini and a number of off-season signings, West Ham have struggled to get out of the bottom half of the table. The Hammers are currently 13th on the table and are on the back of two consecutive defeats after picking up a much-needed win against Manchester United.

Manuel Pellegrini should definitely make the move for the midfielder given the circumstances at the club. He possesses all the attributes to flourish playing as a central attacking midfielder in the manager’s 4-1-4-1 formation used over the last few weeks.

He will sit right behind Marko Arnautovic, dictate the play and make things happen in the final third, which is something the Hammers have failed to do on a consistent basis this season. Though new signing Felipe Anderson has definitely made a positive start to his spell, West Ham still lack a creative essence up front.

Almiron is an impressive dribbler of the ball and is an able provider in the final third as well. He is capable of picking the locks and dragging defenders out of their positions. This should give Arnautovic ample space to run behind the line while the Paraguayan feeds him the ball.

The Austrian often cuts a frustrated figure when not given the right kind of supply but the Atlanta United midfielder should be able to solve that dilemma. He has scored a whopping 12 goals and provided 11 assists in 32 league appearances this season. (Stats courtesy – Whoscored)

Miguel Almiron

Almiron is an electric midfielder who is also very good from long range. The 24-year-old is also extremely clinical in front of the goal and possesses sublime finishing abilities as well. Rarely does he scupper chances when given the opportunity.

He is also a dead-ball specialist and is a good one at that. With Lanzini still a long way from returning, Almiron should be able to deputise as their first choice set-piece taker.

Pellegrini should definitely make the move for the Paraguayan midfielder. The 24-year-old will provide the Hammers with much more threat up front and that is what the Hammers need at the moment.

West Ham have managed just 8 goals in 10 games this season and the Atlanta United man should solve that problem to a certain extent.
