Arsenal shocked everyone with a cheeky £40,000,001 bid for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez. Liverpool rejected the bid instantly. Even though this move may or may not happen, Arsenal are at last showing some real intent and ready to splash money on world class talents.

And now, according to reports from Germany, Bundesliga champions have rejected bids from two English clubs for their defensive midfielder Luis Gustavo. The mystery clubs are believed to be Arsenal and Chelsea. It seems like Arsenal’s most ambitious transfer window ever is already shutting down.
Gustavo also said that he is not for sale this Summer. He said (toTodo Mercato Web),
“I want to stay, I have a contract with the club and I want to respect that,”
“Every year I had to struggle and sweat for a place in the team and that is what I will do in this campaign.”
