Dutch manager Louis van Gaal has told the Manchester United fans at a recent event on Wednesday night that his 19 year old striker James Wilson will leave Old Trafford and go out on loan in the upcoming days. According to Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester Evening News, the Dutchman revealed the news about Wilson’s move away from the club, on the same night that he also stated that Ryan Giggs would succeed him as manager in 2017.

The Daily Mail has further confirmed that the England U-21 international will be off to Championship outfit Derby County on loan. However, Van Gaal’s sudden decision to offload yet another striker would surely create some concerns amongst the Red Devils’ fans.

Robin van Persie, Radamel Falcao and Javier Hernandez have all left the Manchester based side permanently, since the end of the previous campaign. Adnan Januzaj, who can also play as a center-forward was surprisingly sent away on loan as well to Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund for the season.

With Wilson gone too, it would limit Van Gaal’s options further.
