Manchester United are looking to add Columbian player James Rodriguez into their squad. Rodriguez currently plays for Real Madrid as an attacking midfielder or winger.
Reports suggest that United will need to break the world record transfer fee of £60million, which United had paid for Angel Di Maria, so as to bring the Columbian into their squad.
Rodriguez known for technique, vision and playmaking skills is considered to be one of the best young players in the world. Rodriguez is a versatile player who can play from anywhere in the midfield, be it as a playmaker, a winger, a central midfielder or an attacking midfielder. Often compared to Columbian player Carlos Valderrama, who himself declared Rodriguez as his successor, the 24 year old is good in dribbling and prefers to play as an attacking midfielder.
Rodriguez has started only seven league matches this season and is ready to move out from Real Madrid. United is currently preparing a bid to land the player and are expected to make the bid north of £60million.
