Manchester United are looking to bring in former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Lass Diarra into the Old Trafford.
According to L’Equipe, United have been tracking Diarra’s progress in the Marseille and are considering a bid for the summer transfer window.
At 30 Diarra has been successful in making his way back into the French International scene at Marseille, and with Manchester United not having any second thoughts regarding bringing in a player over the age of 30, Diarra will not have any hurdles in entering the English Premier League as well. The 30-year-old can help Manchester United fill the gap left once Michael Carrick leaves the club.
However, one also wonders as to why not Manchester United bring in new talents from their academy and let young talent shine at the Old Trafford rather than bringing in a player from abroad. Further, where Diarra will fit into Mourinho’s style of managing will be something to be kept in mind.
