Jose Mourinho has mentioned several times that he is most comfortable with a 23 men squad at his disposal. With the first team at Carrington that includes 31 players, the Portuguese boss is sure to send some players out on loan before the end of transfer window.
However looks like it’s not going to Ashely Young. According to Daily Star, the Red Devils were approached by Crystal Palace for a loan move for Ashley Young. However, the Manchester club was quick to reject it. Palace recently sold Yannick Bolasie to Everton and are looking for a replacement and probably thought Young to be a good option.
The 31-year-old Englishman has two years remaining on his contract and Jose Mourinho wants to utilize him this season as the club looks to compete in three domestic competitions and Europa League. He did not feature in the 3-1 win at Bournemouth on Sunday but is expected to start appearing at games soon.
