There was an earlier article in Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo, which talked about how Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United side were keen on bringing Welsh international Gareth Bale to Old Trafford. The Red Devils were keen on pushing the move through, as they offered Spanish international David De Gea in exchange for the winger.
Such storied are entertained by the Catalan press more often than not, as they love such tales which help them have some kicks at Barcelona using United’s name.
Now, Sport are having their share of the fun as well, as they claim that the Manchester based side are so annoyed by the former European champion’s behaviour over De Gea’s return to Spain that they are planning to get even with them.
United feel that the La Liga giants haven’t really respected them as a European giant and Florentino Perez’s reactions after the deal failed have added fuel to the fire.
Manchester United CEO Edward Woodward wants to get back and now fancies buying both Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo in the near future.
Of course, these speculations do not really seem too realistic, yet they are exciting nonetheless and an intense battle might be seen between the two clubs in the near future.
