Former Premier League champions Manchester City are expected Kevin de Bruyne to complete a £45m move from Wolfsburg during the course of this week. The Manchester based side are confident that a deal will go through and have already booked the Belgian winger’s medical. Though the terms have still not been agreed to with the Bundesliga outfit, it seems that the deal will be completed soon.
This would mean that the 24-year-old superstar could possibly make his debut against his old club Chelsea. Also, Blues boss Jose Mourinho had previously stated that De Bruyne was sold, as he was unable to handle the quick pace of English football.
However, City are convinced about the superstar winger’s improvement in his game and have been impressed by his performances in Germany.
Also, skipper Vincent Kompany has asked the club to sign his compatriot, with Starsport suggesting that Manuel Pellegrini’s side are ready to offer De Bruyne a six-year deal worth £140,000-a-week, to lure him away from the German giants, in the current transfer window.
