Liverpool’s U16 team will be playing against Barcelona’s Cadet A in the final of the Abu Dhabi International Tournament on Friday at Zayed Sports City.
While Liverpool won against German side Hamburg by 5-0 Barcelona’s Cadet A played against Dubai-based Al Dhafra and had a victory by 4-1.
Barcelona’s website claims that Sergi Gomez will be the most important player in the team followed by Miguel Martinez, Jandro Orellana, Guillem Mico, and Enric Martinez who are on the score-sheet for the team. Liverpool website, however, did not cover any such news regarding their U16 team.
The Abu Dhabi International Tournament is an invitational event and has gained popularity amongst Spanish paper with Catalan newspaper Sport covering the news of Barcelona’s success in the competition.
It will be interesting to see which club ends up winning the tournament while Barcelona has already decided Sergi Gomez as one of the important player for them during the competition Liverpool is yet to publish the news in their official website.
