Wow! Latest Manchester United Signing Turned Down Rivals City To Join The Red Devils

Eric Bailly became the first signing of Jose Mourinho at Manchester United and recently has revealed that he turned down “noisy neighbors” Manchester City to play for the Red Devils.

The 22-year-old joined Manchester United for a £30 million fee that saw him become the first major signing for the club under Jose Mourinho era. The ex-Villareal player has recently claimed that he had been approached by Manchester City too but decided to join Manchester United because he wanted to play under Jose Mourinho.

Manchester City have also spoken out defensively stating that the club was offered Bailly but chose not to sign him instead. However considering that City are looking for defensive reinforcement it is difficult to see why would they reject a talented defender like Bailly. Jose Mourinho has praised Bailly but is cautious as he has said earlier that the player needs to get adjusted to Premier League. Surely Pep could have done the same.
