Wow! Chelsea Leading The Race To Sign This Argentine Goal Poacher

Chelsea incoming manager Antonio Conte is on the pursuit of Juventus player Alvaro Morata according to the Mirror. Conte has been a fan of Morata for a long time now and he is keen on working with the player.

However the deal to bring the player into the Stamford Bridge is complicated by Real Madrid’s involvement in the deal, wherein the Spanish club can activate their buyback clause which allows them to buy the player in £24m. Real Madrid are looking to buy the player at the aforementioned amount and then sell him to a club at a higher amount thus making a neat profit in the deal.

While the Blues are looking to build a team which can challenge the Premier League title next season, they need quality players in the squad. With Diego Costa a questionable option due to his erratic nature, even though he did score 12 goals in 28 appearances, they need a replacement or a person to partner Costa and even though Morata’s goal-scoring was not one of his best, Conte does believe that he may be a good option to have at the club.
