Chelsea are still looking to sign more quality players for their already formidable squad, which has not had the best of starts to the new season, with just one point from the first two games of the Premier League. Manager Jose Mourinho knows that there is a need to change things around in his side to a certain extent and is looking to still make most of the transfer window, by adding a few new players.
One man who is still being linked with the west London side has been French international Antoine Griezmann, who has had a 20+ goal last season and was wanted by the Blues for quite some time now.
The French winger has been impressive for La Liga giants Atletico Madrid since moving to Spain and was being linked with a few big clubs, including Chelsea.
The 24-year-old superstar has a £43m release clause in his current contract and if Mourinho’s side can make such a huge offer for their target, it would surely scare Atlético, though the Spanish outfit have now remedied the situation, it would seem.
