Chelsea and Arsenal were reportedly keen on signing Real Madrid reject James Rodriguez this summer. However, if recent reports from Mundo Deportivo is anything to go by then the Blues have conceded the lead to the Gunners.
In the recent Real Madrid match, James Rodriguez was overlooked as Bale and Asensio gave the Los Blancos victory. The Colombian superstar is said to be looking for a more prominent role and regular football but does not look like he will get it under Zidane this season.
While both Arsenal and Chelsea have shown interest, Gunners are believed to be leading the chase now as Conte fears that they may lose Eden Hazard in the negotiation. On the other hand, Arsene Wenger is believed to have sanctioned a move for James. The Emirates is already filled with talented midfielders and we are curious as to how will Wenger accommodate James Rodriguez into his team.
