As per claims, Arsenal superstar Olivier Giroud has admitted that he would have liked if the Premier League giants could have signed his French international team-mate Karim Benzema this summer. The Daily Mirror confirmed that the star striker himself admitted that the Gunners would have benefited from the Real Madrid star’s arrival at the Emirates.
The former Lyon man was being heavily linked with the north London club over the past few weeks though he dismissed all such speculations by posting an Instagram message to rule out a departure from the Bernabeu.
Giroud stated, “It is obvious that in a club, a team, where a lot is expected, we need several good attackers and I understand that the fans want that we spend more money.”
“It is not up to me to answer this question, the coach knows very well what he is doing, and sometimes you should not buy just to buy, and sometimes there are not players out there that you need, who are available.”
“We have a very good squad, with quality, and I am sure that with this squad we can go very far.”
