Wow! Arsenal Set To Trigger Another Shock Transfer Next Month

Share

After last summer’s failure to sign Jamie Vardy, Arsenal are plotting another shock move for their former man, Cesc Fabregas, which are leaving the Gunners fans scratching their heads.

Fabregas spent eight years as a Gunner before moving to Barcelona in 2011, and his reputation at the Emirates took a massive hit two years ago when he joined London rivals Chelsea.

But after having a fairly impressive start to the campaign, Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal currently sit second in the league, finally looking like a team that is pushing for the Premier League crown after more than a decade.

The Gunners are light when it comes to creative central midfielders, with Santi Cazorla sidelined for three months with an ankle injury and Jack Wilshere spending the season on loan at Bournemouth. Though the North London side are looking to swoop in for the Chelsea man for a sensational switch back to the Emirates.

Despite starring in the Blues’ win at Manchester City on Saturday, the Spain midfielder hasn’t featured regularly for Antonio Conte’s side this season, making just two starts this term. The 29-year-old may consider a reunion as Wenger looks to bolster his midfield to challenge for the title as a temporary solution.

Thus, the report From Daily Express is suggesting that Fabregas is likely to be the subject of a cheeky bid from Arsenal in January, as Conte prefers N’golo Kante and Nemanja Matic over the Spaniard.

It would, of course, be a massive move and has several huge obstacles in front of it, with Chelsea unlikely to sell a player to a title rival.
