Arsenal Transfer Updates
Arsenal has plenty of talent in midfield. Mesut Ozil, Santi Carzola, Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere are all very creative and probably will get a chance in almost every team in the world. Hence it surprises fans and the others alike when Arsenal seem to be signing another midfielder.
It has been reported by Mundo Deportivo that the gunners have tried to sign Marco Veratti in recent times. The newspaper mentioned that Arsenal were not the only club to have made an offer for the midfielder. Chelsea are also very much interested in his services. Reportedly, Arsenal are now ahead of Chelsea in this transfer race.
It is also speculated that Veratti prefers a move to Spain or Italy over a move to English Premier League. Veratti is particularly very technical and hence the environment in Spanish league or Italian league is expected to suit him better than the physical nature of English Premier League. Also due to his ability he is seen as fit replacement for Xavi Hernandez who left Barcelona last summer. However, we cannot rule out Arsenal as they are one of the most technical sides in Premier League. The Catalan newspaper surely hopes that the Italian midfielder will not choose Premier League.
