It seems now that Arsenal have chosen their man to replace current boss Arsene Wenger, once he leaves the Emirates. Former skipper Patrick Vieira is being lined up to replace his compatriot as the new Gunners’ manager. The Mirror claimed that the authority at the club wants to bring their ex-captain back to north London.
The 39-year-old superstar is at present in charge of Manchester City’s youth development and is doing quite well. However, he would surely be tempted if given a chance to return to north London and become the successor to Wenger, for the Arsenal job.
Wenger will be handed a new contract to extend his stay at the club until 2019, as the club are keen to groom his successor first, before letting him take over. It would be a similar role to that of Ryan Giggs at Manchester United, where the Welshman is currently being trained by Louis van Gaal before he eventually takes over at Old Trafford.
