Wolves signing this on-loan Juventus starlet would be quite a brilliant move by Nuno Espirito Santo

Why Signing Rogerio from Juventus must become Wolves’ transfer priority

As stated in a report published by Birmingham Live, Juventus left-back Rogerio, currently on loan at Sassuolo, is being targeted by Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolves are one of the few teams who have really come out of the blocks raging, surpassing all the expectations that were placed on them. With the help of their clearly intelligent coach, they have managed to excite and in fact surprise a lot of neutral fans this season.

Unlike Cardiff City, Wolves didn’t shy away from utilising the transfer market in an aggressive fashion, which showed a lot of intent. Some of the players they purchased are world-class and that’s very clear to see in their play sometimes.

Joao Moutinho offers an amazing array of passes while providing some much-needed experience to this rather young Wolves side whereas, Ruben Neves is a young creative midfielder who sees passes that other people can’t even picture in their minds.

One player who was brought in during the summer was the very talented Jonny from Atletico Madrid. While there is not much clarity about whether he will star at Wolves beyond the end of his loan spell, it would be wise on Nuno’s part to purchase a back-up option anyway.

As suggested by the report, Sassuolo wing-back Rogerio is on Nuno’s wish list as he looks to strengthen what has probably been his team’s most important position this year. With Matt Doherty in the form of his life, Rogerio could be the perfect player to come in and take over the other flank.

His excellent pace and movement make him an fantastic option for the Premier League while his defensive awareness and positioning will suit Nuno’s style of play as well. He is a strong runner who loves to get crosses into the box.

Since moving to Juventus, his value has increased a lot and his 18 Serie A appearances for Sassuolo this campaign has shown the world what he’s actually capable of. Nuno must be excited about bringing the Brazilian to the Molineux as he could be the perfect left-back for Wolves.
