Wolves signing this 19-year-old Serie A hotshot would make them a dangerous attacking force next season

Wolves opinion: Wolves should sign Moise Kean

According to a report in the Birmingham Mail, Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in signing Juventus’ 19-year-old forward Moise Kean. He had a breakthrough in the second half of last season in the Serie A.

He made 17 appearances under Massimiliano Allegri and had a fantastic return, with 7 goals and an assist in that short period, which shows how prolific he is and the confidence that he has.

With Juventus now under Maurizio Sarri, there will be a massive change in the tactics and some big decisions have to be made on who starts up front.

Allegri was very pragmatic manager, whereas Sarri requires specific players for his system. Kean has shown the ability to be at the right place at the right time, finding the back of the net. Forwards of his kind aren’t as common as before.

Moise Kean

Maurizio Sarri usually requires a lot more from his strikers and with so many senior players to choose from, Kean is surplus to requirements at the moment.

Juventus have Gonzalo Higuain, Mario Mandzukic, Paulo Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo, all of whom can play centrally. Handling such big personalities will be a difficult task and Kean will not be able to play a bigger part in any potential success under Sarri.

Kean would add another option to the likes of Diogo Jota and Raul Jimenez at Wolves, who have been one of the best striking duos in the Premier League in recent months. While Kean may not be starting ahead of them, he’ll be able to come off the bench and add to the squad.

Wolves must take the competition very seriously as that is possibly the best way for the club to make it to the Champions League. Despite the improvements and their record against the top-6, they were still 9 points off of 6th place in a season that was underwhelming for many of the top-6 clubs.

Conclusion

It won’t be easy to make progress on their 7th place finish without adding some squad depth and Kean would be a fantastic addition, who can play at the Molineux for a long time. Even if he wants to move on, Wolves can still expect a fantastic sum for the teenager.
