Woah! Big Boost For Manchester United In Pursuit For The World’s Best Player, Nick Names Revealed In The Process

Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo

Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has now stated his desire to play alongside “pitbull” Wayne Rooney once again. The Portuguese international, who has won the Ballon d’Or thrice left Manchester United and moved to the Bernabeu in 2009, yet has suggested that he could be back to Old Trafford soon, just to play with the England striker.

Rooney has scored a solitary goal in the Premier League this term, though his close friend has backed him to rediscover his scoring touch soon. The 30-year old forward revealed a unique nickname for his former team-mate, whose power on the pitch had stunned him before. He said, “I miss playing with Rooney. Maybe we will play together again one day.”

Speaking in a new BBC documentary about Rooney, according to The Sun, Ronaldo added, “He was the kid of England, everyone loved him.”

“He was so powerful I was calling him Pitbull. The power of Wayne Rooney is his mentality and strength and he never stops.”

“He’s a fantastic team player and he scores! He’s a fantastic boy and he helped me a lot when he came to join us in Manchester.”

Ronaldo also spoke about the infamous 2006 World Cup wink, which he directed at the Red Devils’ skipper after he was sent off for England, as Portugal knocked the Three Lions out of the competition.

He further stated, “I don’t regret what I did because when you play for your country, you defend your colours so… I didn’t do nothing bad.”

“He understood my point of view, let’s speak about the present, let’s win trophies, let’s play together like we did.”

“We were still friends. People create big dramas that never exist.”
