With One German And One Uruguayan, Arsenal Can Conquer Europe

Arsenal turned their transfer window from one of the worst ever to the best ever in their history on the deadline day by signing Mezut Ozil from Real Madrid. But, is that enough to make Arsenal a formidable squad, challenging for all trophies like they used to do?  Most probably ‘no’ is the answer. Their squad is still thin in many ways. But they don’t need four or five players to achieve this. All they need is two world class players (forward and DM).

Luis Suarez

Suarez was Arsenal’s first and main target in the Summer window. But the move failed since Liverpool was so adamant not to sell their super star to a team which they consider as a rival for the champions league spot.

In footballing terms, Suarez is a sharp and a good finisher, the footballing artful dodger. As Liverpool’s main man for three seasons running, his scoring prowess and all round work rate can only improve by time.

With having one of the best no 10 in the world (Ozil) in the squad, Arsenal need to have good forwards to use Ozil’s full potential. Inconsistent Walcott is not the answer for Arsenal’s title ambition. According to the latest rumors, Arsenal are still interested in bringing Suarez in January. If Wenger can pull this deal successfully, it will definitely send shock waves across the footballing world.

Lars Bender

Lars Bender is a versatile player who can play in many positions (DM, CM and even as right back if needed). He is also gifted with a high work rate which is an essential attribute for any player in the English league. With the addition of Flamini, Arsenal have a new midfield destroyer in the squad. But is he still good enough to play consistently at this level? So, bringing in Bender will be the long term solution to this problem. Lars Benders’ ability to play make from deep areas will also help Arsenal’s possession game play.

If Arsenal manage to sign both the players, this is how their midfield and attack will shape up,
