With Names Like Alexis Sanchez, Christian Eriksen & Ozil Battling Out, Check Out The Best Combined XI Of Arsenal And Tottenham

arsenal spurs north london derby wenger poch

There are a great variety of emotions running high in North London now but everything runs equally when there is a clash between the two London clubs is dawning upon us. The optimism and the overwhelming emotion towards the club is often the case with derbies and same will happen on Saturday. One London club is flying high under an Argentinian manager and another London club going through a miserable patch once again. Yes, I’m talking about Tottenham and Arsenal who will go toe-to-toe this weekend and this can arguably be one of the biggest match these teams are playing because on the line is the bid to challenge for the premier league and any slip up between these two will see a certain Leicester side gain more advantage.

Ahead of a much heated clash, there are several injuries to either of the sides.

*From Arsenal, Laurent Koscielny, Petr Cech, Santi Cazorla and Jack Wilshere will miss out due to their injuries.
* From Tottenham Hotspur, their Belgian centre back Vertonghen will miss the derby with an injury, and the other major player missing out will be the midfielder Moussa Dembele.

Here’s the best combined playing eleven of Tottenham and Arsenal. This eleven doesn’t include the injured players and it neglects the out of form players no matter what the class of the player is.

FORMATION: 4-5-1 with advanced wingers and an attacking approach.

GK: Hugo Lloris

Petr Cech is missing out the London Derby due to the latest injury he suffered and definitely Hugo Lloris would have given Cech a really good challenge for this position and eventually he’s the only best goal keeper remaining out of the two. Lloris has been in sublime form with stunning reflexes and amazing stretched saves. He deserves to be in this team.

RB: Hector Bellerin

Flair, pace, attack and witty defending. Bellerin is one of the best upcoming Right backs in the world and he’ll be placed in this eleven ahead of Tottenham’s Kyle Walker.

CBs: Wimmer and Toby Alderweireld

Laurent Koscielny and Vertonghen will miss the clash and instead of them, two of the best upcoming centre backs in the world will feature. Toby Alderweireld in many people’s eyes is already one of the best Centre Backs in the league and his record with Wimmer has been impressive as well. Wimmer beats Mertesacker to make the list but Arsenal have been disappointingly wobbly at the back.

LB: Danny Rose

Danny Rose much like Bellerin provides attacking forays as well as displays stunning defensive performances at times and he makes the list ahead of Nacho Monreal and Kieran Gibbs because both the Arsenal Fullbacks have been largely out of form.

CMs: Delle Alli and Christian Eriksen

Deli Alli is having an absolutely fantastic season at Tottenham. The midfielder has an eye for goals and attacks and he can get forward with pace as well as a good dribbling ability. He’s been one of the key performers at Tottenham and partnering him this season will be Eriksen who’s had a magnificent season for himself. Eriksen has created 83 chances and has scored 5 goals in 25 appearances for Tottenham this season.

LW: Alexis Sanchez

Alexis Sanchez does deserve a rest in reality but he’s one of the few players who can outperform others when you expect the least. Alexis is a hot property at Arsenal and at any moment he can become an absolute beast. He comes in ahead of the Belgian Chadli despite Chadli delivering for Tottenham.

RW: Erik Lamela

Whenever given the chance, Erik Lamela has been dazzling and he has enlivened this Tottenham side. Lamela has created 49 chances and has scored 3 goals and he boasts a passing accuracy of 78% (approx) Lamela is placed ahead of the out of form Arsenal winger Theo Walcott and he also beats Joel Campbell.

CAM: Mesut Ozil

26 appearances, 105 chances created, 70% shot accuracy along with 5 goals scored including 87% passing accuracy, Mesut Ozil is one of the best playmakers you can have behind you as a striker. Ozil has been the star of this Arsenal team providing assists whenever the team needs it the most. He is the man who keeps the flow of Arsenal side going and the playing eleven is not complete without him.

ST: Harry Kane

Harry kane already has 16 goals to his name this season. One season wonder they said but how he has proved the people wrong. Kane is one heck of a poacher in the premier league and with playmakers like Eriksen and Ozil behind him as well as the support coming in from Alexis Sanchez and Lamela, Kane can even belt the opposition by scoring a hat-trick.
