Wijnaldum Out, Coutinho In Central Midfield – Strongest 4-3-3 Liverpool Line-up To Face Brighton

Predicted Liverpool Line-up To Face Brighton and Hove Albion In The Premier League

Mohamed Salah is easily the best buy of the summer transfer window as he is now on 12 league goals, 14 games into the season. The Egyptian international came off the bench away at Stoke City in the mid-week and added a brace to Sadio Mane’s opener in the first half, taking Liverpool to yet another victory. The Reds have moved to 5th place on the table and have a decent chance of retaining it when they travel to the Amex Stadium this weekend.

The Seagulls played out a 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace earlier this week and will hope to pull off a similar result in this game as well. However, Klopp is expected to go with a strong side for this game.

Team News

Nathaniel Clyne remains the only long-term absentee for Liverpool ahead of this clash. Midfielder Adam Lallana and defender Ragnar Klavan missed the previous game as a precaution but are expected to be back in the matchday squad this weekend.

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager: Jurgen Klopp

GK – Simon Mignolet

The Belgian was very lucky not to be sent off in the previous game and will hope to have a better outing in this tie.

RB – Trent Alexander-Arnold

Giving Gomez some rest should be the youngster Arnold, who has been effective in almost every game he has started.

CB – Joel Matip

After a solid outing against the Potters, Matip will hope to put in a similar performance against the Seagulls.

Andrew Robertson

CB – Dejan Lovren

Lovren was also solid at the back in the previous game and is expected to keep his place in the side, as Klopp’s can go back to his first choice CB partnership.

LB – Andrew Robertson

The manager was clear about having to rotate his squad and with Moreno playing more than the fair share of his games, he could be rested for this game, giving Robertson his second start of the season.

CDM – Jordan Henderson

The skipper was on the bench against Stoke City but should be back in the starting XI, in his usual role this weekend.

CM – Emre Can

The German put on good a shift earlier this week in the midfield and he should retain his place in the side, giving Wijnaldum some much-deserved rest.

CM – Philippe Coutinho

Another player who was on the bench against the Potters, Coutinho, has been effective in front of goal this season and should start this game.

Mohamed Salah

RW – Mohamed Salah

The Egyptian is in red-hot form at the moment and is an odds-on favourite to score this weekend as well.

LW – Sadio Mane

The Senegalese winger was back on the scoresheet against Stoke and will hope to put in a similar shift in this game as well.

ST – Roberto Firmino

Leading the attack should be Firmino, who also had a superb game earlier in the week.
