Wijnaldum And Mane Starts – Predicted 4-3-3 Liverpool Line-Up To Face Hull City

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool managed to steal a point from league leaders Chelsea at Anfield earlier this week as they kept their unbeaten record against top-6 sides this season intact. The Reds are currently 10 points off Chelsea at the top of the Premier League table and have a decent chance of reducing it when they travel to the KCOM Stadium this weekend.

Marco Silva’s Hull City side are currently struggling in the drop zone, but they are fresh from a point from their Old Trafford visit and are expected to make it difficult for Liverpool to take anything from this game. Liverpool’s weaknesses against sides at the bottom of the table has been evident this season but Klopp will be happy that he can field his strongest XI for the first time since December.

Here is the predicted lineup he might play for this game.

Team News:

In early team news, Jurgen Klopp revealed that his side have no new injuries to worry about ahead of this game and that his full strength squad trained on Thursday. Danny Ings, Marko Grujic and Ovie Ejaria are the only players missing from the squad for this game.

Expected lineup (4-3-3):

Simon Mignolet:

Having put in a match-saving performance against Chelsea, Mignolet will be high on confidence going into this game.

Nathaniel Clyne:

Had a decent outing against the likes of Hazard in the previous round and will hope to have an easier game on the night.

Joel Matip:

The summer buy for Klopp, Matip is the first choice defender at the club this season and should keep his place in the side for this clash.

Dejan Lovren:

After a solid performance against Chelsea, Lovren should partner Matip at the back for this tie against the Tigers.

James Milner:

Though ineffective recently, Milner is the best option for Klopp at left-back and should start this game at the weekend.

Jordan Henderson:

The club’s skipper put in a dominating performance at Anfield recently and will hope to have a similar game in the midfield for Liverpool for this game.

Georginio Wijnaldum:

The saviour of the previous game, Wijnaldum will hope to add more goals, assists and creativity to his game and will get his chance at the weekend against Hull.

Adam Lallana:

Finally back into the midfield role, his most effective one, Lallana will hope in getting back to the form he was showing at the start of the Premier League season.

Sadio Mane:

Just back from the AFCON, Mane got a few minutes under his belt against Chelsea and should start this game on the wing for Liverpool.

Roberto Firmino:

Though missed a couple of sitters in the previous game, Firmino is integral to the plans of the club this season and is a regular starter under Jurgen Klopp.

Philippe Coutinho:

The Brazilian playmaker has not been at his best coming back from an injury, but this trip to the KCOM is a perfect opportunity for him to give his side a victory.
