Why Gareth Bale Would Be Better Off Re-Joining Tottenham Over Manchester United and Chelsea

Speculation over Gareth Bale’s future only rises as the Real Madrid star is being watched by a number of clubs. On top of that list are Manchester United, Chelsea and his old club, Tottenham Hotspur. The Welshman has been out of favour in recent weeks as Zidane has given the nod to Asensio and Lucas Vazquez.

Moreover, Bale’s abilities haven’t been illustrated in the 4-4-2 system most of the times. When he plays as a target man, the 28-year-old doesn’t enjoy the outing and is often left clueless on the pitch. Also to add, he has been plagued by a couple of pernicious injuries since joining Los Merengues in 2013.

Gareth Bale started his career as a left-back in the Southampton youth setup but rose to play on the wings and showcase his offensive propensity. He went on to play for Spurs, striking 26 goals in his final season at White Hart Lane. For Real Madrid, he has scored 79 goals in 179 appearances.

He is easily one of the complete players the world has witnessed. There’s nothing that this boy cannot do. Bale has ripping pace, ability to skip past players and beat the entire line of defence with speed. Next, he has a number of tricks up his sleeves.

Having played as a left-back, Bale has some handy defensive capabilities too, as he never gives up. He crosses the ball well, runs into narrow spaces and is one of the best finishers around. Last but not the least, he is exceptional in dead ball situations.

Now let’s analyse which club he must move to next. Here, we shall not only look at what suits him best but also examine which of the teams would be benefitted by this transfer. One thing’s for sure, Bale can enlighten any club and if this transfer happens, it will spread a mega wave across the footballing world.

Firstly, if Spurs sign him, it will be a mind-blowing move. Chelsea might go for him as a Hazard replacement option, as the Belgian forward has been linked with a move away amidst their feeble title challenge. However, Bale may not fit into the system, as he loves width.

In the current Blues system, the wider areas and the touchline are hugged by the fullbacks. Manchester United can buy him too but the ultra-defensive setup can often frustrate him. He is a player who loves to take the ball and charge forward. Hence, it would be best if he moves to Spurs side. It would not only be an emotional, warm return for him but the high-press, high tempo football would be the right system for him to fit in.
