Why This Former Chelsea Attacker Could Turn To Be A Great Signing For West Ham United

Gokhan Tore

With West Ham United advancing to the UEFA Europa League, all eyes will be on Slaven Bilic’s side, who performed incredibly well last season. The players were determined, every one of them was aware of their role, and for me, that was the primary reason the Hammers succeeded.

Well, the next season will be a complete turnaround in the history of the English league as many top managers like Antonio Conte, Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola will be taking over their respective clubs, and Bilic will have to be very keen on the upcoming transfer window to prepare his team. West Ham United have a great squad and the players are well capable of challenging for top honours, but if they tend to compete in the Europa League, Bilic will have to increase the number of members in the London’s side.

Dimitri Payet, Lanzini, Carroll and Valencia can surely handle the attacking aspect, but to be honest, the side will need a playmaker, who can work like a horse to make the strikers the ‘Goal Machine’. Several players have been linked with a move to the Olympic Stadium, but the one which is approaching to its final step is of the Turkish international Gokhan Tore.

The 24-year-old currently plays for the Turkish side Besiktas and according to the reports, Tore is all set to reunite with his former boss Slaven Bilic at West Ham. Tore is not the most industrious name in the footballing industry, but he is well known for his incredible pace and his perfect dribbling abilities. Tore is very well familiar to the English league as he was the part of Chelsea’s youth team which won a couple of Reserve League titles.

Tore finally found his foot in 2013 when he signed for Besiktas on a season long loan deal, which later converted into a permanent five-year-deal. Talking about West Ham, it is reported that the Hammers made a £7.4m offer for Tore back in January 2016, but was rejected. It seems like Bilic has set his eyes on the Turkish international and sign him up at any cost.

Slaven Bilic will surely prioritize the signing of a perfect center forward who could guide the team in Europe, but besides that, he will have to work in the midfield area as well. Gokhan Tore is a winger who possesses a blistering pace and his muscular built allows him to go head to head with the defenders. He is not the most polished attacker; but working under Bilic’s management might help his cause. West Ham United have Michail Antonio and Manuel Lanzini who operate the game for the Hammers from the wings, but besides them, they don’t have a strong option.

Tore is surely a threat for any defence and besides his attacking supplement; the 24-year-old is well capable of tracking back when in need. He isn’t the most clinical finisher, but he is well capable of creating some deadly chances for the team. English League gets chocked especially after Christmas the players start to lose their fitness which affects the team in competing in Europe. Gokhan Tore can make it clear that the team doesn’t lose its shape at that moment of time as he has all the experience of the Champions League as well.

Bilic has promised his fans new signings for next season as the club look to kick-off a new chapter in their new stadium, and kicking off with Gokhan Tore will always be a very great option.
