Why This €40m Versatile Attacker Should Choose Arsenal Over Manchester United This Summer

Why Julian Draxler Should Join Arsenal Instead Of Manchester United

The deadline day of the transfer window is fast approaching and the clubs in the Premier League are now working more rigorously to try and lure top transfer targets to the club before the window shuts down. This might see the biggest clubs in the country fight for one player and one such player who is wanted by more than one English club is Julian Draxler.

The German winger is one of the most exciting players on show in Europe and is the first choice winger for the World Cup winners, Germany. He moved to French giants PSG only this January but the addition of Neymar Jr has pushed him down the pecking order. This has seen him get linked with an exit as PSG are ready to let him go for around €40m this summer.

Liverpool were one of the first clubs to have been linked with a move for the player but reports revealed that they would not pursue his services. This has left long-term suitors Arsenal and surprise club Manchester United vying for his signature. So which is a better club for Draxler to continue his career in?

At 23, the German playmaker has made some impressive appearances for both club and country and is one of the most experienced, established and exciting players at the moment. He has the ability to create things with his direct approach while his skill and understanding of the game make him hard to mark.

He is technically gifted and can walk into the best squads in Europe; Arsenal and Manchester United are not exceptions. United have failed to land Ivan Perisic, who was their top transfer target this summer, and are looking at Draxler to add quality and numbers to their attack. Arsenal, on the other hand, want Draxler as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez, who may yet quit the club.

To add to it, the former Wolfsburg man is more adept at keeping possession and creating chances and can excel in the system under Arsene Wenger at the Emirates. He can form a sensational partnership with Mesut Ozil and has the potential to replace Sanchez in full.

At Old Trafford, he will have to fight for his place with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial. Though he will miss out on Champions League football by joining Arsenal, he should avoid joining Manchester United.

He will have less pressure at the Emirates and can take his time to settle in. Arsenal is the place to go!
