Why Real Madrid Should Keep Hold OF Their Prized Possession Amid Arsenal Rumours

After winning the Champions League last season, Real Madrid are looking to strengthen this summer as they look to take back the Spanish La Liga crown from Barcelona. Only last month they activated their €30m buy-back clause on former striker Álvaro Morata after selling him to Juventus in 2014 for €20m. Morata is an exceptionally talented player who has a bright future in front of him, therefore it was wise for Madrid to resign the striker, who is currently entering his peak years of his career. However there have been reports indicating that Madrid might be looking to sell Morata this summer on a huge profit. Arsenal and Chelsea are one of the two clubs who have been interested in his services.

The Spanish striker who was nurtured in Castilla gained momentous experience over the past two season in Juventus. His influence in big matches, proved what he is capable off. It was his goal that sent Juventus through to the final of Champions League two seasons ago.  He helped the Italian club win consecutive Serie A titles. Zinedine Zidane, who tasted success in his first season in charge of the club will now have to trim and chop his squad so that they can continue competing against the best in the world.

Real Madrid saw the opportunity to snatch him back when he is bang in form and bought him back from Juventus at a price much lower than his market value. Morata was brought in by Mourinho, who saw his talent and gave him opportunities in the first team. However with Karim Benzema firmly established as the clubs first choice striker, Morata found opportunities hard to come by. Frustrated at the lack of game time, he decided to join the Italian Champions, in a move which has worked wonders for him.

Morata undoubtedly has the quality to improve any team in the world, however he will have to have patience while waiting for his chance. Over the past two years Morata has gained valuable experience  while playing for Juventus. His all-round game is also complete as he is   strong, quick, can carry the ball up the pitch well and hold up play well, helping to bring others into play. He is also good in the air, has a great work rate and his clever movement has made him a nightmare to play against. There are still certain weaknesses in his game, namely his finishing but that will improve with more playing time.

One mustn’t forget that Morata is still only 23 years of age, therefore there is no doubt that he is improve as a player with more experience. He has definitely improved since he moved from Madrid and now that he is back, Zidane will be wise to utilize the Spanish international as he can be very useful to the team’s cause.
