Why Rafael Benitez would be the right man to lead Everton

The Liverpool Echo suggests that former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has not ruled out a move to Everton in the future if he gets a chance.

Benitez, 59, started his managerial career with Real Madrid’s U17 teams back in 1986. His illustrious career expanded across Europe with teams like Liverpool, Napoli, Inter Milan, and Real Madrid. At the moment, he is Dalian Yifang in China.

He has been successful in Italy, England and Spain, and is one of the most decorated managers in the world of football. He has won trophies in his time at Valencia, Liverpool, Napoli and Chelsea, including the one where he guided the Reds to Champion League glory in 2006.

Meanwhile, Everton sacked Marco Silva after an unsuccessful spell of run that saw the Toffees drop to the relegation zone. At the moment, Duncan Ferguson is temporarily in charge of the club and Everton are in search of a new manager to take over.
