This 16-year-old wing wizard would be a great long-term option for Everton – Agreed?

Why Matchoi Bobo Djalo would be a smart long-term signing for Everton

According to Football Insider (h/t The Daily Post), Everton are interested in signing Guinea-Bissau starlet Matchoi Bobo Djalo in January.

The 16-year-old winger is one of the brightest young talents to come out of Portugal in recent years, having burst onto the scene with Pacos de Ferreira this season.

Italian giants Juventus and Premier League side Southampton have earmarked the youngster as they track his progress, adds the report (h/t The Daily Post).

Matchoi Bobo Djalo became the youngest ever to play in the division this season and the club are bracing themselves for January offers (h/t The Daily Post). That being said, Everton must go all out to secure the teenager’s signature in the winter transfer window.

Despite spending a lot of money this past summer, Everton have struggled for goals. They also recently sacked Marco Silva after a crushing defeat to Merseyside rivals Liverpool.

As of now, Richarlison has been the brightest spark in the attack and he continues to be one of the most potent threats in front of the goal for Everton.

Meanwhile, the likes of Theo Walcott, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Cenk Tosun haven’t been at their best this season. Moise Kean has struggled to cope with the intensity of the Premier League since joining from Juventus this past summer.

By the looks of it, this season is not going in the Toffees’ favour at the moment.

In Moise Kean, Tom Davies, Alex Iwobi, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Everton have a plethora of exciting young talents. Thus, a move for Matchoi Bobo Djalo certainly makes sense for Everton.

Verdict

Djalo seemingly has a huge future ahead of him and Everton must aim to thrash out a deal when the winter transfer market starts. He would be a fantastic long-term investment for the Merseysiders.
