Manchester United are lacking a proper driving force at the center of their current midfield and with Jose Mourinho taking over the club, it is only obvious that the Portuguese boss will look to add some quality players this summer. A lot of top stars have been linked with the Red Devils in the current transfer window, with the former Chelsea manager signing three players already to strengthen his current squad at the Theater of Dreams.
Now, the Premier League giants are closely linked with another star midfielder, as they look to fortify their team at the center of the pitch.
The player said to be heading to Manchester is France international Paul Pogba, who was not happy about his side losing to Portugal in the Euro 2016 final last night.
The 23 year old superstar has made a total of 124 Serie A appearances for the champions and has managed to score a total of 28 goals so far last term, which has caught the attention of a host of clubs across Europe.
United boss Mourinho has been desperate to sign the Frenchman, who has been a target for him at Stamford Bridge as well, though a deal never did not go through.
Pogba is one player who can play at the heart of the midfield and likes to control games, helping his defensive line at times and pushing forward to create and score goals, as and when needed. The player who left England and moved to Turin back in 2012, has really grown into a world-class player, since he joined the Italian giants.
He is the man to buy, though it is not really possible for every club to pay the asking fee that is being demanded by Juve and United hold the financial power to do so, with them looking to complete the move in the upcoming days.
Pogba could fit right into the team, as he can link up well with fellow Frenchman Morgan Schneiderlin, though the former Southampton man was dropped from the national team by Didier Deschamps. Mourinho will be able to utilize the services of the player well, who can take long shots and has a good range of passing as well. He is a good dribbler of the ball and his focus and ability to challenge for aerial balls puts the opposing players in trouble as well.
He is a very physical player who can link up well with his teammates and go into challenges if needed. However, his performances in the current competition in his native country have shown that maybe he is not worth all the hype that he is receiving, and one twitter user explained his participation in the Euros with this simple tweet;
Pogba’s highlight of the tournament is either getting an assist off a pass he meant for someone else, or scoring in a 5-2 vs Iceland

There have been various rumours suggesting that a move could be on the cards, with the star set to decide his future in the upcoming days. If the £100million deal is completed, it will be the biggest transfer move in the history of the club and would certainly receive a lot of attention from fans across the club. Pogba’s every single move will be up for a debate, which will put him and the club under immense pressure to perform.
We feel that United are better off without the French man and could spend the proposed £100million on two separate players who could be vital for the club’s future without the risk of failing big.
