Why Manchester United should move Sandro Tonali
Sandro Tonali is one of the brightest talents in the Italian game at the moment.
The Brescia midfielder has been likened to Andrea Pirlo (h/t Calciomercato) and has helped his club gain promotion to the Serie A.
The 19-year-old has already been called up for the senior national team in the past, however, the midfielder played in the U21 Euro in the summer.
The Red Devils might not have signed a quality midfielder in the summer but they need Tonali in the team.
A star in the making
Tonali is a deep-lying playmaker who can also provide defensive stability to the midfield.
The 19-year-old can cover the back four extremely well and has an eye for a quality pass too.
The Italian is set to become one of the best in the world if he keeps on progressing well, and United could use his services.
The Red Devils seem to be buying players with potential under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Daniel James has been an excellent signing while Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka will impress further after doing well at Leicester and Crystal Palace respectively.
Fred hasn’t lived up to the billing since his move in the previous campaign while Nemanja Matic has also struggled for regular starts under the manager.
Paul Pogba needs some defensive cover in the team and that has been provided by Scott McTominay this season.
However, Tonali would fit perfectly into United’s midfield alongside McTominay and Pogba.
