Why Manchester United should accept a deal from Inter Milan for Nemanja Matic
Nemanja Matic has had a tough time at Manchester United since the previous campaign.
United themselves are struggling a lot and Matic has featured in just four games for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season, with two of them coming in the Europa League.
The 31-year-old seems a little off the pace and could be on his way out of the club.
Inter Milan are interested in the Serbian and will offer a cut-price deal to land the 31-year-old, according to Corriere dello Sport (h/t Sky Sports).
Matic is out of a contract at the end of the season and could leave on a free, but United should accept the offer from Inter.
A third United star at Inter?
Manchester United already sold Romelu Lukaku to Inter at the start of the season. Alexis Sanchez then joined the Italians on loan, and Matic could be the third player to join from Old Trafford this season.
A move to Italy could suit his playing style but importantly, United could get some decent money for the Serbian.
The Red Devils have made some errors in the transfer window recently and allowed Ander Herrera to leave on a free in the summer.
The Spaniard should have been kept for his combative nature and could have done a better job in the midfield than Matic.
The Serbian’s legs seem to have gone and United should try to push a younger player till the January window.
The 31-year-old cannot protect the defence as well as he used to, and United need someone more dynamic in the middle of the park.
Scott McTominay has done a decent job, but the Red Devils need to find a world-class talent to play in a deeper role.
United have never had major problems in recruiting players and selling Matic won’t help their finances a great deal given the amount the spent on transfers.

However, the Serbian would also want to play regularly, and selling him now is better than keeping him till the end of the season.
Verdict
I
It will be interesting to see how much Inter offer for the 31-year-old, but the Red Devils should be open to any deal for the Serb.
