Man United taking advantage of European giants’ decision would make them world-class again

Why Manchester United must revive their interest in Neymar

According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo (h/t Sky Sports), Paris Saint-Germain are preparing to sell Neymar in order to fund a new contract for Kylian Mbappe.

The French outfit are keen to hold on to their star player and the only way to avoid the World Cup winner from a move away from Paris would be to place a new contract for him.

Neymar had previously admitted to moving from PSG after several altercations with the board and had told that he won’t play for them again. But later on, he decided to stay with the French champions.

Manchester United were previously keen to land the star in the summer, but they did not choose to pursue a move for him. His party lifestyle was a major concern for their decision, according to Daily Mail.

Now that PSG are willing to let him leave, Manchester United must make sure they get their hand on Neymar to bolster their attack.

The Brazilian has proven to be a rare player who possesses skills, speed and everything that a modern-day footballer requires to succeed. He has also been a game-changer during his time at Barcelona, where he wreaked havoc alongside Lionel Messi and Luiz Suarez.

Though his injuries might be a concern, he would surely be someone who can help the team scale greater heights. And at the moment, United are in desperate need of a big-game player to see a change in their fortunes.

According to Cadena Cope (h/t Sky Sports), Manchester United are also preparing to sell Paul Pogba in January for £130m if any club is ready to meet the demands of United.

Pogba has been out of the team for quite a while and seems to be pushing out for a move away from Old Trafford.

The Red Devils may not be able to persuade him to stay and it might come as a blessing in disguise, where if Pogba succeeds in leaving, United can gather a huge sum and splash it on Neymar. PSG are looking to recoup the £198m they spent to sign him.

Solskjaer would be able to add firepower to the attacking ranks with Neymar in the squad. Solskjaer could also build a team around Neymar as he still has a lot to offer.

Neymar’s goalscoring prowess is undoubted and he would also make the Red Devils a force to reckon with if he is lured to the Old Trafford. Manchester United who are known to spend big on quality players, must not have second thoughts to secure his services.
