Man Utd should not hesitate to let this midfielder depart if they receive cash plus this Real Madrid dynamo – Agreed?

Why Man Utd must offload Pogba and accept cash plus Toni Kroos from Real Madrid

Spanish outlet Diario Madridista (h/t Express) claims that Manchester United are ready to sell Paul Pogba to Real Madrid.

The Frenchman remained at the club after the summer but Real Madrid wanted to sign him, according to the report.

Real were also pushed back by United’s £150million valuation for the World Cup winner during the summer (h/t Express).

Paul Pogba

However, the Red Devils will only allow Pogba to leave if they get Toni Kroos and some cash in the opposite direction (h/t Express).

A great move for United

Pogba wanted to leave United in the summer but wasn’t able to seal an exit, according to his agent (h/t Guardian).

There is no point in keeping a player that isn’t in the right frame of mind, and Pogba hasn’t been at his best since the start of this campaign.

The 26-year-old can be one of the best, on his day, but United haven’t seen those performances on a regular basis.

Toni Kroos

Kroos might be three years older than Pogba, but the German still has a lot in his tank.

The World Cup winner doesn’t dribble with the ball as much as Pogba does, but he has a great range of passing and could use the pace of Daniel James, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial well.

Kroos also can provide some sort of protection to the back-four and would be a great partner to the impressive Scott McTominay.

United would still need another attacking midfielder ahead of Kroos to link up well with the forwards, but the German has loads to give to this team.

Kroos is great with his set-piece deliveries and would provide United with more options in dead-ball situations.

The Red Devils would also get some cash from the deal, which they can reinvest to strengthen the team even further.

Solskjaer signed young players in the summer window but he should make an exception when a world-class football can join the team.

Verdict

The German is still doing his bit for the national side and would do well at United too.

The Red Devils should push for Kroos joining if Pogba has to leave, and it would be a wonderful deal for Solskjaer.
