Why Liverpool Is The Right Club For This Highly Talented Englishman To Realise His Potential

Why Liverpool Is The Right Destination For Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain To Realise His Potential

Jurgen Klopp has done a tremendous job with the squad at his disposal at Anfield as he helped them to a place in the Champions League next season. Liverpool have one of the weakest squads in the top-6 from the previous season and the manager is trying hard to add some quality to his first team next season.

Klopp is not a manager who will spend millions on players’ reputations but is a man who loves to identify the right talents for his side and one such player who is dividing opinion among Liverpool fans is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Reports suggest that the English international, who has just a year left on his contract, has rejected a new deal from Arsenal, and is interested in joining Liverpool this summer.

It is a strange move for the 23-year old who will probably walk on to the bench at Anfield from the bench at the Emirates. Arsene Wenger has used the midfielder as a utility player, filling in the gaps whenever required.

However, that has not reduced the ability of the player to have an effect on the game and Chamberlain stood as one of the best players for the club last season. However, he has seen little growth at the Emirates and is spot on in trying to quit this summer. But is Anfield the right destination?

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

It is clear that the ‘Ox’ wants to play for a team that is mentored by one of the most exciting managers in world football at the moment. The German tactician, who is working wonders at Anfield already, is one of the most respected managers in Europe and it does not come as a surprise that the Arsenal star is also mesmerised.

The fact that Klopp has the ability to get the best out of his players, makes this deal the perfect one for the midfielder. The 23-year old is strong, quick, smart and fits into Klopp’s style of play seamlessly. His versatility is an added advantage and Klopp will already have a rough idea as to how he wants to use him in his side next season.

The manager is looking at RB Leipzig’s Naby Keita at the moment, who will bench Ox next season, but Klopp will know the value of the youngster and is sure to give him enough chances to shine next season. Liverpool are expected to fight on all four fronts next season and will have enough games to establish Ox into the first team.

Playing in a system that is intense and best suited for him will also allow Chamberlain to grow into a better player. So surely, playing for Klopp is probably the best thing for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who wants to quit Arsenal this summer.
